Turnout Gear Donation

South Coast Fire Equipment is proud to have brought two Pierce customers to help the Mexicali Fire Department get much needed turnout gear. South Coast employees helped bring two departments together to help out another department in Mexico.  Adrian Beyer of South Coast is a former member of the Town of Menasha Fire Department (TMFD).  Jesse Mendez, a sales representative for South Coast, had recently sold two Arrow XT Pumpers to Calexico, CA, who is next to Mexicali, Mexico.  Mexicali Fire Dept. is comprised of several volunteer firefighters and Jesse knew that they were need of some turnout gear.  Adrian called Jeremy Short, a friend at the TMFD and was able to arrange 22 sets of turnout gear to be donated to Mexicali.  With the help of Jesse and Chief Pete Mercado of the Calexico Fire department, the gear was delivered across the border to the Mexicali Fire Department.

During the pre-construction meeting at Pierce, members from the Calexico Fire Department were able to visit the Town Of Menasha Fire Department where the two departments were able to meet for the first time.  South Coast is proud to be a part of the brotherhood where two departments are able to help another in need.
